Poderino is located in the “heart of Val d’Orcia”, one of the most beautiful natural and cultural landscapes of Italy, declared World Heritage Site by UNESCO.
Immersed in the picturesque hilly landscape are the famous wine regions of Montepulciano and Montalcino, and the Pienza, a pearl from the Renaissance.
The area is particularly rich and offers various alternatives based on the interests and time available to the visitor. Ideal for walking, or cycling, marked trails, by car, by motorbike, by bike, in the city, in the city and urban centers rich in history and full of charm. Pienza (7 Km), San Quirico (2 Km), Montepulciano (20 Km), Montalcino (16 Km) are the most famous art cities of the area. Countless are the ancient villages that populate the surrounding countryside: Castiglione d’Orcia, Rocca d’Orcia, Vignoni, Monticchiello, Contignano, Radicofani, Castelmuzio, Petroio.
Three kilometres from the thermal baths of Bagno Vignoni, a place rich in thermal waters and very special is the ancient pool located in the centre of the town. Important abbeys and parishes populate the territory: Monte Oliveto Maggiore, Sant’Antimo, Sant’Anna in Camprena, the parish church of Corsignano.
